The importance of ethics in writing

To me, ethics in writing involves being honest, accurate, and responsible in all aspects of written communication. Ethical choices in the workplace include being honest and transparent when communicating with colleagues and customers, adhering to professional standards of accuracy and objectivity, and being mindful of the impact of words and language. Unethical choices in the workplace include using deceptive language or false claims to manipulate customers, using language to bully or spread rumors, and using language to manipulate or deceive colleagues.
