Art is a visual representation of a message that only the author will know detailed. Looking at art can open your mind in such a way. It has developed empathy and understanding on me. Art is important because it is like exercise; a lot of people free their stress playing sports, it is the same thing with art. Sometimes people just want to share something or “take the stress out” in some way.
What about monetary value?
I think the prices of contemporary art are ridiculous. I think the value is so overestimated. I think that people appreciate different things. Some people might pay the price for the pieces, while other people (like me) might say it is crazy, and would just rather to get a copy of the art piece.
This does not change my view of art. However, I think it might be convenient to buyers and sellers who are willing to buy/sell the art pieces.
